Hoch-Ybrig in Switzerland (in the Central region) is a medium sized ski resort with 10 ski lifts (4 chair lifts, 5 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 886 metres (2907 feet) of vertical descent. Hoch-Ybrig has 40 kilometers (25 miles) of pistes. Hoch-Ybrig is best suited to advanced and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There are 17 kilometers (11 miles) of cross country ski trails at Hoch-Ybrig. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park. The nearest airport is at Zurich.

Had my first skiing holiday here in 1972 on a school trip. We were based in Einsiedeln. Got me hooked on skiing once I could afford to go when I got married. Had 30 happy years of skiing as a result of that holiday.
Lovely memories of the holiday in Einsiedeln and my friend ended up married to our skiing instructor 4 years later!
