Chandolin in Switzerland (in the Sierre-Anniviers region) is a medium sized ski resort with 9 ski lifts (2 chair lifts, 7 surface lifts) that offers skiers an incredible 1161 metres (3810 feet) of vertical descent. Chandolin has 34 pistes with a total length of 180 kilometers (112 miles). There are 12 kilometers (8 miles) of cross country ski trails at Chandolin. For snowboarders, there are 2 terrain parks and a half pipe. About one quarter of the pistes at Chandolin are covered by snowmaking. The nearest airport is at Geneva/Sion.

Chandolin is a sleepy backwater with a limited ski area that is totally reliant on unforgiving drag lifts, little or no English spoken and has absolutely no off-slope entertainment.
In other words, it is perfect in every possible way...!
