Mt Seymour is Vancouver’s only family owned and operated ski area delivering a relaxed West Coast feel only 30 minutes drive from downtown Vancouver. Mt Seymour is an extended family of passionate skiers and snowboarders who want to share their excitement for winter recreation with families and individuals across the Lower Mainland. Famous as a place to learn and a place to shred terrain parks, Mt Seymour continues to create new skiers and snowboarders who share lifelong winter memories. Since 1984, the Wood family has owned and operated Mt Seymour and pride themselves on staying true to the mountain’s roots by creating a welcoming, inclusive, family atmosphere for everyone and working with community partners such as The Bloom Group, Vancouver Adaptive Snow Sports, The First Nations Snowboard Team, Take a Hike Foundation, and Youth Unlimited. Last season, Mt Seymour’s ‘Shred for the Cause’ Monday evening fundraiser, collected $30k for The Bloom Group who provide progressive social services in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, including low-barrier shelters for women and children.
