Kvitfjell Alpine Centre in Norway is a medium sized ski resort with 6 ski lifts (2 chair lifts, 4 surface lifts) that offers skiers an impressive 840 metres (2757 feet) of vertical descent. Kvitfjell Alpine Centre has 17 pistes with a total length of 20 kilometers (12 miles). There are 50 kilometers (31 miles) of cross country ski trails at Kvitfjell Alpine Centre. Kvitfjell is a charming ski area with lots of chalets dotted around it. It has a ski hire shop, restaurant and a great bar right next to the main slope. I spent a couple of nights there with a friend and about 20 of his Norwegian friends, who, I have to say, were off their heads!
Luckily they were there because the place was deadly quiet. The pistes are great, all be it limited in exploration potential, but the Olympic down hill run is a beaut and the scenery is breath taking. Lovely place, lovely people, but bring you own company, entertainment and booze!
