The mountains near Funäsdalen are the most snow sure in Sweden. The area, that includes the resorts: Ramundberget, Bruksvallarna, Ljusnedal, Messlingen, Mittådalen, Tännäs, Fjällnäs, Hamra and Tänndalen, is the third largest ski area in Sweden. Funäsdalen is amongst these ski fields that boasts no lift queues and has great off-piste amongst a high latitude wilderness. 30 lifts are available and there is a tremendous amount of cross country terrain to explore. The nearest airport to Funäsdalen is Stockholm.

Great atmosphere, great snow. The only bad thing is that the slopes are a bit short.
Try the cross country-skiing. Funasdalen has 300km of x-country trail, that's the largest system in the world!
Best time to go there is in April, when the days are longer and the temperatures are a bit warmer.
