The ridge route to Angelus via Mount Julius offers a stunning approach for skiers. Allow plenty of time in winter as it's a long way uphill from St Arnaud if the gate is locked at the lake exit because of snowfall. We ended up crossing the exposed Robert Ridge section after dark.
